ALLOW ME TO PRESENT. . .

Dr. David R. Nelson

(such a serious looking Dr.!)

Hi everyone! What a wonderful day of celebration we had from the graduation ceremony to the lunch and worship time we shared with his fellow classmates and professors. We were so delighted that our children and my parents were able to celebrate with us. Dave looks more serious in the picture than in reality (I believe it was the glare of the sun:)
There was a strong bond formed in the class of graduates and they are determined to work at keeping "in touch" through the years. We are already planning a trip possibly to England in 2009 as post doctoral work.

You have played a very important part in making this day possible and we thank you. Dave and I are more in love with God now than ever and pray that love grows. God is the end of the matter and it causes us much heartache that our lives do not reflect this truth. What is true christianity? This was Dave's thesis but graduation does not end his pursuit of it. We will return to Perry with a heightened interest in prodding us all to discover true christianity.

Until then, we will strengthen ourselves in the Lord while enjoying the beauty of his creation. I will try and upload some alligator pics before we leave:)

We love you, miss you, and look forward to worshipping with you again soon.

For your joy,
Phyllis

WOW! Congratulations Pastor! And to you Phyllis - it takes a lot of work to support a husband getting his doctorate I am sure! :) Love you both from the bottom of my heart!
